Real Estate in Denver is exciting right now. It still is a fairly stable market, with buyers viewing every home in their price range prior to making a decision.    Those sellers who do receive offers, are priced correctly, show home ready with no repairs needed..     Buyers are still having issues with the lending piece of the purchase.   First time home buyers are usually getting into the Denver real estate market with zero cash, needing their down payment and closing costs paid for.   These buyers are having a harder time securing a loan, not having a previous mortgage.

If you are a non-contingent buyer in todays market -- you have real estate by its tail! July 2011 - IKEA opens in Denver.    People in line sleeping overnight to get to be the first in!   Traffic is planned to be extensive, and urged to avoid area if possible.

January 2011 - Property taxes will be adjusted this year.   If you have questions about your property value, let me assist you!

January 2011   The government is still trying to remove our right to claim Mortgage Interest Deduction, and there is a great article by the National Association of Realtors -
MID article.

November  2010 - Elections are finally over, and we are now seeing interest rates rising.     You can still get a good interest rate below 5%.

September 2010 - interest rates are so good right now at 4%.  Prices are great on homes today!

New rules --- Effective 7/1/09, if you have a home listed, apartments, multi-family units --- there HAS to be a carbon monoxide detector outside of all bedrooms.     The Night Hawk or First Alert are available thru any home improvement store for a cost of approximately $50.   They can be hard wired, battery or plug in.   This is for ANY home sold, new or resale.
