| What are those letters behind my name? When you go to Real Estate School to get your license, they teach you the law, terminology, and contracts. When you graduate and get into the "real world of real estate", you need more assistance. There are designations you can obtain to get this additional information you need to be a successful Realtor. GRI - Graduate of the Real Estate Institute There were 13 8-hour classes that teaches HOW to sell, HOW to help a buyer, all about new construction, financing, investments, and a few more classes on law. This was VERY helpful in the very beginning! CRS - Certified Residential Specialist This probably was my most valuable. Today I assist families from all over the country with their real estate needs. Relocation companies call and have families needing to relocate in or out of Denver. I understand their situation, and try and make this as smooth as possible. At the beginning of May 2007, 3.3% or 45,255 TOTAL of all Realtors (now over 1.3 million) have their CRS designation. ABR - Buyer's Representative These classes were very helpful in writing an offer to benefit the buyer with different clauses and ideas to make a transaction work for your buyer! e-Pro - Internet Specialist This designation was done all ON-line! It was fabulous! It taught me how to get my web site noticed in the sea of sites, be able to be effective in email and all aspects of on-line information! I believe this to be invaluable in today's world! |
