The City of Denver

Denver Park

Denver has been my City of choice for over 45+  years because the quality of life here is amazing! First, and by far the best facts --- 300 plus days of sunshine every year and over 5,000 acres dedicated to park areas for recreation. Yes, we have experienced droughts and water restrictions in the past, but most days are very enjoyable. The wind has been more prevalent this year than most, which is unusual. If you don´t like the weather today, just wait, it will be different tomorrow. There have been times where all 4 seasons have been experienced in one day! The snow is generally most apparent in December & January, but can show up sporadically even in June! We like the snow to stay in the mountains! Overall, expect the average temperature in Denver to be pleasant between 64 to 69 degrees Fahrenheit with sunshine.     You know you live in Colorado when you go from heat to air conditioning - all in one day!

If you are a sports fan --- we have it all! Broncos, Avalanche, Nuggets, Rockies and even the Crush and Mammoth. We have a new stadium for football, and a newer indoor stadium for hockey and basketball. Denver fans are pretty fanatical, we enjoy our sports!

Denver has many choices for enjoying the performing arts such as plays, operas, and musicals. The Denver Center for Performing Arts, Central City Playhouse, Littleton Playhouse are just a few venues. There are also many plays that run through Denver off Broadway!

Denver MallThere are a lot of choices here for housing! You can live in new condos or lofts downtown, Highlands, where the homes have been renovated from the 1800´s, and enjoy the cute shops and coffee shops, or in the suburbs with shopping close wherever you choose. Many homes have a "walkability" score".  There are neighborhoods where it´s very popular to walk dogs, go for a run --- try Washington Park, Observatory Park, Sloan´s Lake, they all are exercise friendly! Are you a shopper? There are many choices there also Flatirons, new Bel Mar, outlet malls, the new Southlands outdoor mall, Park Meadows and of course Cherry Creek Mall.

Enjoy the convenience of public transportation. With our new light rail the multi-family living is becoming very popular. All along this route, you will find condos and town homes that are within walking distance, so you can leave your car at home, and save gas. This helps with going to work, and also enjoying the night life in Denver.

We are seeing increases in values finally in the Denver metro area.   The outskirts of the city are still moving a little slower, due to the time and gas it takes commuting to town.  An excellent opportunity for buyers who are searching to find the home of their dreams at affordable prices!
